The trouble with the news

We can’t resist a good typo or grammatical error. We share them regularly on our Facebook page, but we like to share some of our favorites here as well. Lately, we’ve caught plenty of errors on the news, whether it’s online or on TV. Check them out!

  1. Here’s a simple fact-checking error. The Royal Wedding took place in 2011, not 2012.
  2. You can see our markups. Small errors make a big difference in a headline.
  3. While we were excited to see “its” used properly, the subject-verb agreement is incorrect — and we don’t see any reason for “groundhog” to be capitalized.
